Island Bay United offers women of all ages, abilities and skill levels the opportunity to enjoy the social and competitive aspects of football in a fun, safe and friendly environment. IBU Womens' philosophy is all about inclusiveness, aroha and whānau - we often train together and throughout the year host Women's social events that players from across all our teams come together for.

We are proud to have several women's teams at our club, playing across Premier division and Capital divisions 1-4, including:

Women's Prems/First team: This is our competitive team playing in the highest Wellington division, Capital Premier.

Mako: The more competitive of our social teams, the Mako play at Cap 1-2 level, and love to share a pint at the local pub.

Whai Repo: One of our newest teams, a group of friends with a mixture of skill levels and social-competitiveness, playing at Cap 2-3 level.

Orcas: Our longest running social team with a super inclusive vibe - they are social first but always keen to develop their skills within Cap 4.
